Every investor needs 2 accounts to start investing in the local stock market – a Central Depository System (CDS) account and a Trading account.

To open the accounts, you may: 

• Download Bursa Anywhere from the Play Store or App Store and register through the app to open a CDS account; or,
• Submit your interest and information through our form, and your selected broker's representative will contact you to help you open both accounts; or,
• You may also visit any of our securities brokers to open both accounts. Click here to see the list.

Remember, every investor needs both a CDS account and Trading account to start investing in the local stock market. 

The trading hours for stocks and securities market is from 9.00am to 12.30pm and 2.30pm to 5.00pm, Monday to Friday.

Bursa Gold Dinar is a platform for you to buy and sell 999.9/24k gold and redeem your gold in the form of physical gold dinar coins. The Bursa Gold Dinar platform allows you to invest from as low as RM10 and its equivalent in grams.

You will have to:

1. Be above 18 years old;
2. Be a Malaysian citizen, or Malaysian permanent resident, or foreigner legitimately residing pursuant to a valid visa and with a valid mailing address in Malaysia;
3. Not be a US person under the Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act (FATCA);
4. Be a tax resident of Malaysia only; and
5. Hold a valid bank account in Malaysia and a Malaysian mobile phone number, with no existing or pending bankruptcy or winding-up petition.

The trading hours varies according to the type of product. In general, the derivatives trading hours are as follows:

• Regular trading session: from 8.45am to 6.00pm, Monday to Friday.
• After-hours T+1 session: from 9.00pm to 2.30am*, Monday to Thursday.

BR Capital is a debt fundraising and investing platform that facilitates both listed and unlisted small to mid-sized companies, tapping into a new pool of capital outside of the traditional wholesale markets. BR Capital offers a new avenue and greater flexibility to these companies as well as providing previously untapped fixed income investing (mid-market debt) opportunities to investors. 

BR Capital was incorporated on 27 December 2022, with Bursa Malaysia Berhad holding a 51% equity interest and RAM Holdings Berhad holding the remaining 49% equity interest. 

Currently, BR Capital is open for issuers only. However, stay tuned, we will be opening the platform for investors in 2024.
