Bursa Energy Index: Further Upside yet to Come ?

The Bursa Malaysia Energy Index experienced a positive momentum since the start of the year and rallied past the 1,000pts mark, its highest level since March 2021. The index recently peaked at 1,003.96pts on 23 May 2024 which at that point represents a growth of 23%, before surrendering some gains. As of 31 May 2024, the Energy Index chalked up a handsome gain of 18.3% while also outperforming the FBM KLCI benchmark index.
