TECHNICALS-Spot gold may climb to $2,559 per ounce
* For more technical analyses, click TECH/C SINGAPORE, Sept 6 (Reuters) - Spot gold XAU= may climb to $2,559 per ounce, as it has risen above a neutral in a range of $2,473 to $2,511. The rise suggests a continuation of the uptrend. Driven by a wave C, the trend may extend to $2,636, the 200% projection level of a wave C from $1,984. A close below $2,511 on Friday would complicate the picture, as the break above this level will look doubtful. The target of $2,559 has to be temporarily aborted. On the hourly chart, the market is rising towards $2,529, the high of a Darvas box. Once confirmed as a bullish continuation pattern, the box will suggest a target of $2,590. The confirmation will be when the market breaks $2,529. Support is at $2,507, a break below which could trigger a drop to $2,493. * Wang Tao is a Reuters market analyst for commodities and energy technicals.
