EU cuts 2024/25 wheat crop estimate, raises maize

PARIS, Nov 28 (Reuters) - The European Commission on Thursday cut its estimate of usable production of common wheat in the European Union in 2024/25 to 112.3 million metric tons from 112.6 million forecast a month ago. In supply and demand data, the Commission raised its forecast for the EU's ongoing 2024/25 maize harvest to 59.6 million tons from 58.0 million last month.
