Indonesia to slightly lower crude palm oil reference price for January
JAKARTA, Dec 31 (Reuters) - Indonesia will slightly lower its crude palm oil (CPO) reference price for January to $1,059.54 a metric ton, from December's $1,071.67, according to a trade ministry regulation published on Tuesday. The new price will put the export tax for January at $178 a ton. Indonesia also currently imposes a 7.5% levy for CPO exports, which the government said it would raise to 10% without providing details. The levy for more refined palm oil products is charged at between 3% and 6% of the reference price. (Reporting by Stanley Widianto) (([email protected];))
