The study - produced by the Singapore Exchange (SGX) and Centre for Centre for Governance, Institutions and Organisations (CGIO) at the National University of Singapore (NUS) Business School - highlighted the progress of sustainability reporting practices among Singapore-listed companies and discussed opportunities for achieving higher reporting quality.

Sustainability reporting is growing more sophisticated year on year, with companies improving on their sustainability disclosures since SGX’s listing requirements on sustainability reporting Certain industries taking the lead: The real estate, health care and communication services sectors produced the best-quality reports Climate action: 6.5% of Singapore companies or 32 companies, acknowledged climate change as a material factor Tone from the top: Only 8% of companies linked sustainability performance with executive remuneration
