ETF Performance Report March 2025

Global equities trended downwards during the month with the MSCI World Index falling 4.6% month-on-month (MoM) to 3,628.64pts. This was attributed to intensifying trade tensions between the U.S and a slew of countries which stoked fears of a global trade war alongside a potential recession occurring in the U.S. Moreover, the U.S had reaffirmed that it would impose reciprocal tariffs on 2 April 2025 on countries that established trade barriers on U.S goods.

Meanwhile, the U.S Federal Reserve kept its benchmark interest rate steady at a range of 4.25% - 4.50%, although the central bank maintained its projection for two rate cuts to occur during the year.
