Govt has No Plans to Introduce Carbon Tax in Budget 2025 — Zafrul.

The government will not introduce a carbon tax for Budget 2025, said Investment, Trade and Industry Minister Tengku Datuk Seri Zafrul Abdul Aziz, with the Finance and Energy Transition and Water Transformation ministries still in the midst of discussing the new tax’s implementation mechanism. This new tax measure, he said, would require at least one year of preparation.
