Taking a Look at ESG Coverage of Malaysian PLCs

As demand for sustainable investment continues to rise, more environment, social and governance (ESG)-related data are required to supplement investors’ fundamental and financial evaluation of public listed companies (PLCs). 

Based on data from Bloomberg, we tabulated the number of PLCs on Bursa Malaysia that are given ESG scores by four rating providers, namely MSCI, S&P Global, Bloomberg and Sustainalytics.
