Shein reveals child labour cases as it steps up supplier audits.

Shein has disclosed two instances of child labor in its supply chain as it intensifies supplier audits. The company has suspended orders from these suppliers. The company conducted 3,990 audits in 2023, up from 2,812 in 2022. These audits revealed fewer serious violations compared to previous years, but some cases of underage workers were still found. Shein says that it will “remain vigilant in guarding against such violations going forward, and in line with current policies, will terminate any noncompliant suppliers”.
